About Sterling Smith

Sterling Smith serves as a VP, Branch Manager at First Community Mortgage (FCM), where he leads his team with a focus on guiding clients through one of life’s major financial milestones with security and confidence. Sterling began originating mortgages in 2019 and quickly earned recognition as the Top Mortgage Lender in Bedford County for the past 4 years, as well as FCM’s Top Producer in 2023 and 2024. In 2024, he was also named Top Rural Lender in Tennessee. His achievements have been recognized in the Scotsman’s Guide, a leading mortgage industry publication.

Sterling specializes in assisting first-time homebuyers, veterans, and clients utilizing USDA, FHA, and Conventional loan programs. He is particularly passionate about helping veterans, first responders, and families purchasing their first homes.

Sterling graduated Summa Cum Laude from Middle Tennessee State University. Outside of his professional role, he enjoys golf and spending time with his wife, Riley, and their two children, Parker and Bauer.
