FCM Announces New Branch in Rome, GA

MURFREESBORO, TN — First Community Mortgage announced today a new office location has opened in Rome, GA.

The new Rome, GA office will fit well within the area through FCM’s product mix and most importantly guiding borrowers through a detailed and efficient process with the end result of closing loans on time.

“This in turn will produce the type of volume that makes our company strong and vibrant,” said Mark Jones, the Regional VP of the Southeast, Atlanta area. “As a regional manager I have been associated with this market for many years.”

Jones discussed the strong marketing growth in Rome was one of the reasons FCM chose to open an office there. “The choice really to go to Rome was not only the steady market that fit the FCM profile, but Bruce Epperson being the right fit for us and for him.”

Experienced Loan Originator, Bruce Epperson, will be a ‘mainstay’ in the new office. “Bruce is a great fit for FCM because his business nature perfectly matches what we offer as a company including company culture of doing things right with a highly experienced operations team.”

FCM will be Corporate Sponsor for Colby & Cate’s Charities

MURFREESBORO, TN—First Community Mortgage announced today it will be the Corporate Sponsor for the Colby & Cate Charity. Their annual Birthday Bash will be held on August 6, 2016 which benefits Riley Hospital for children in Carmel, Indiana.

Colby & Cate’s Charities is a nonprofit organization raising and donating funds and other items for chronically ill and critically injured children.

Colby and Cate’s Charities was started back in 2002 by the Lutz family. Their son, Colby, was turning 1 and the Lutz family explained to their guests that in lieu of gifts for Colby they should be donated to Riley Hospital for Children, a not-for-profit organization. Colby & Cate’s Charities has grown from 2 SUV’s filled with toys to raising $73,754 in 2014.

FCM names Miguel Vega AVP of Business Development, Focusing on Hispanic Market

MURFREESBORO, TN — First Community Mortgage announced today that Miguel Vega has been named AVP of Business Development.

In the AVP role, Vega will play a major part in helping FCM reach out to the growing Hispanic market. In Middle Tennessee, it is projected that 13 million of the 17 million new households between 2010 and 2025 will be diverse.

“Miguel has a tremendous amount of success in the retail sector,” said Keith Canter, founder and CEO of First Community Mortgage. “Miguel’s FCM Business Development responsibilities will lead the company’s planning and execution of Multi-Cultural lending initiatives, and millennial strategies to better serve these segments within our communities,” Canter continued.

Vega, who has relocated here from California, has over 12 years of experience implementing go-to-market strategies, 10 years of experience with purchasing and merchandising strategies, and over 15 years of international business development in the United States, Latin America, and Asia.

“After several years as a business development and retail executive in California, my interest for economics and market research made me realize the enormous potential of the dynamic economy of Tennessee being one of the fastest growing Hispanic markets in America,” said Vega.

The possibilities to develop new opportunities for Vega and his family happen to be what drew him to the region. He went on to say, “These factors eventually led me to accept the invitation and the exciting challenge of starting the new business development division here at FCM.”

FCM Hires Mark Newhouse as Mortgage Loan Originator

MURFREESBO, TN— First Community Mortgage announced today that Mark Newhouse has been hired as a Loan Originator at FCM’s Knoxville, TN branch.

In the Loan Originator role, Newhouse will be working with different types of home buyers to assist them with purchasing a home. He will be working with first time home buyers, investors, or anyone looking to refinance their home.

FCM will be Presenting Sponsor for the Davis House Golf Tournament

MURFREESBORO, TN—First Community Mortgage announced today it will be the Presenting Sponsor for the annual Davis House Golf Tournament, held on September 12, 2016 at Westhaven Golf Club in Franklin, TN.

The Davis House Child Advocacy Center helps combat child abuse in four local Middle Tennessee counties. The DHCAC promotes education to assist with preventing child abuse.

“This is a great program to be involved with seeing how one of our main priorities here at FCM is to help families feel comfortable and confident using FCM as their mortgage lender,” said Andy Voyles, Executive Vice President/ Director of Lending of First Community Mortgage. “One of FCM’s major roles is to be a great community advocate, we’re thankful to have our name associated with DHCAC this year.”

The DHCAC was formerly known as the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center Task Force established by Ronald L. Davis, the District Attorney General for the 21st Judicial District. It was started so abused children had a safe environment to tell their stories and receive help along the way. In 2010 it became an accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance.

FCM names Lorenzo Adams AVP Special Projects & Production Analytics

MURFREESBORO, TN — First Community Mortgage announced today that Lorenzo Adams has been named AVP Special Projects & Production Analytics to assist with the organization of project development.

In the Special Projects and Production Analytics role, Adams will focus on creating a robust project management database, which will allow any manager within FCM to have clear and detailed information pertaining to structure and organization of new projects being implemented within the company. Additionally, Lorenzo will help lead a new fulfillment process in conjunction with a unique set of boutique products, being offered mid third quarter.
