Elizabeth is a Loan Officer with the Van Law Team at First Community Mortgage, bringing nearly 15 years of customer success experience in the technology industry and a passion for helping families navigate one of life’s biggest financial decisions.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth partnered with clients across the country, building trusted relationships, solving complex challenges, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. While her industry has changed, her commitment to putting clients first has remained the same. She believes buying a home should feel exciting—not overwhelming—and is dedicated to making the mortgage process as seamless, transparent, and stress-free as possible.

As part of the Van Law Team, Elizabeth combines that client-first mindset with a team backed by more than 30 years of mortgage banking experience, helping homebuyers and homeowners nationwide achieve their homeownership goals.

Originally from the Northeast, Elizabeth came to Charleston for what was supposed to be a summer visit with her parents—and never looked back. She met her husband, an Atlanta native, and they were married in 2018. He now works as a project manager in the luxury home building industry, so it’s safe to say conversations about homes are pretty common around the dinner table.

These days, life revolves around their two boys, Coast and Crew, who keep them on their toes in the best way possible. Add in their two Great Danes, Gronk and Georgia, and there’s never a dull moment. When they’re not cheering on the boys’ latest adventures, you’ll find the family cooking together, enjoying time at home, planning their next trip, or escaping to the mountains for a ski vacation.

For Elizabeth, joining the Van Law Team is more than a career change—it’s an opportunity to build on her passion for serving others while working alongside her dad in a family business that shares those same values.
